Activation

For the first official Metaverse Fashion Week, Metaverse Group designed and executed the virtual Forever 21 flagship store in the Fashion District of Decentraland, which included an NFT wearables collection directed by Forever 21, and a live streamed DJ performance.

Results

The launch generated 286 impactful media hits with 74.5 million impressions, and an impressive dwell time of 27 minutes - nearly 30 times higher than traditional ecommerce benchmarks, with the majority of users returning over 5 times.

KB Home Design Studio

KB Home, one of the largest and most recognized homebuilders in the U.S., debuts its first-of-its-kind metaverse in the popular Decentraland platform and showcases a three-dimensional welcome pavilion, coupled with three architecturally distinct model homes with interactive features to encourage exploration and engagement. In addition, a virtual host will greet and educate potential buyers on the benefits of building a new KB Home – with the experience offering multiple ways for visitors to continue their home buying journey in the physical world.

When touring the interiors, visitors can select flooring, cabinets, countertop, faucets, tile and lighting to create their unique vision of home. Upon exploring the model homes, users will also discover a free wearable - a KB Home hard hat. This is a first-of-its-kind in real estate personalization in the metaverse and sets a new standard for how homebuyers engage with the industry in virtual worlds.

KB Home, a top U.S. homebuilder, introduces its unique metaverse in Decentraland, featuring a 3D welcome pavilion and three model homes with interactive features. Visitors can customize interiors by choosing flooring, cabinets, lighting, and more, to create a personalized home vision. A virtual host will also provide information on the benefits of building a KB Home, offering multiple ways for visitors to continue their home buying journey in the physical world. Additionally, visitors will receive a free wearable KB Home hard hat while exploring the model homes.

Electronic Arts

Electronic Arts came to Startup Slang, who have since joined Metaverse Group, to create a unique shopping experience for one of its most popular mobile games, Design Home by connecting it to a Shopify Plus store and allowing players to use an in-game currency for rewards. Since no one had ever connected a mobile game to a Shopify Plus store before, we custom built a middleware solution that housed the conditional logic for users to be able to use in-game currency on the Shopify store as well as match each product in the game with a product on the Shopify store. We also set up and managed a server on an ongoing basis for this project.

By working together with the teams from Burke Decor and Electronic Arts’ mobile gaming division, Glu Mobile, we were able to achieve the requested technical specifications allowing over a million people per day to have the ability to purchase home decor and furniture directly from the game they know and love. This created a brand new source of income for the mobile game that has since surpassed the 7 figure mark in revenue. Through the Design Home Inspired Shopify Plus store, Design Home players can now shop and save on thousands of home decor accessories delivered straight to their homes. 

Startup Slang, now part of Metaverse Group, partnered with Electronic Arts to integrate their popular mobile game, Design Home, with a Shopify Plus store. We developed a unique middleware solution allowing players to use in-game currency for real-world rewards and match in-game products with Shopify items. Cooperating with Burke Decor and EA's Glu Mobile, we facilitated a new shopping experience, enabling over a million daily users to buy home decor directly from the game, creating a new revenue stream that's surpassed seven figures. Through this innovation, Design Home players can now purchase and have thousands of home decor accessories delivered to their homes.

DKNY Soho NYC Store

DKNY collections participated in Metaverse Fashion Week for a second year in a row, with their virtual immersive experience, DKNY.3, themed around their spring 2023 campaign that pays tribute to the hidden gems and iconic institutions that make New York City so special. DKNY, had a 4-story building, complete with retail boutique, pizza parlor, art gallery, and a rooftop lounge. All visitors to DKNY.3 experience received a DKNY bucket hat wearable. The art gallery on the 3rd floor displays a collection of Web3-inspired interpretations of the Soho Wall DKNY logo by Decentraland creators. The top floor has a rooftop lounge where visitors can claim their second wearable -- a special DKNY MVFW t-shirt. "DKNY.3" was a definite highlight of MVFW23, with the 2nd most engagement (total time spent) of all areas. The pièce de résistance was DKNY's "Official MVFW23 Closing Night Party," hosted by Tangpoko DCL and DCLBabydolls, and music spun by Live DJ Sarah Main, rounding out the night with a drone show flying over the rooftop dance floor.

DKNY participated in Metaverse Fashion Week with their immersive experience, DKNY.3, featuring a 4-story building with a retail boutique, pizza parlor, art gallery, and rooftop lounge inspired by NYC's iconic institutions. Visitors received wearables and enjoyed Web3-inspired art in the gallery. DKNY.3 was a highlight of MVFW23, with the second-highest engagement. Ylipson Virtual Showroom

Lancia Italia unveiled its virtual showroom in Decentraland during Metaverse Fashion Week 2023, inspired by the Italian architecture and design of its physical Milan location. The first of its kind showroom was complete with two vehicles - a virtual replica of the Lancia Ypsilon, the fashionable city car which appeals to customers who are conscious of style, elegance, and technology, and a new concept car that was revealed on April 15th, 2023. The concept car was a teaser of what is to come as visitors saw the vehicle's silhouette in the showroom under a veil.

The UPS Store

The opening of “The Helping You Be Unstoppable Store” in Decentraland provides small business owners with exclusive content, tips and advice to help them in their entrepreneurial endeavors. Purposefully designed to empower small business owners, the store has been imagined as an immersive and interactive place to learn by doing. It consists of three virtual floors. Floors include:

“The Newsstand” where visitors can access licensed content from Inc. and Fast Company, focused heavily on early-stage businesses and most relevant to solopreneurs.

“Be Unstoppable Academy” where visitors can participate in a series of education-focused modules on topics such as brand-building, sales, marketing and time management. 

“The Amphitheater” where visitors can access video content from small business experts addressing a variety of topics including access to capital, financial cash flow, emerging technology and more.

Tokens.com

Tokens.com Tower, is a virtual office and event space in Decentraland’s Crypto Valley. Tokens.com and its subsidiary companies, Metaverse Group and Hulk Labs will have their virtual headquarters located in the tower. The Tokens.com Tower is a multi-level virtual office space and conference center, located in Decentraland’s Crypto Valley. The tower overall represents the physical equivalent of over 28,000 square feet of usable office and event space that can host hundreds of virtual guests.

The first venue is located on the ground floor featuring large windows overlooking water fountain features. The second is located on the rooftop overlooking Decentraland’s Crypto Valley, featuring an infinity pool.

Tokens.com Tower is a virtual office and event space in Decentraland's Crypto Valley, housing Tokens.com, Metaverse Group, and Hulk Labs. It offers a multi-level virtual office space and conference center, equivalent to over 28,000 square feet. Meta Yachts

Metaverse Group, in a joint venture with Meta Yachts, has built a first of its kind luxury virtual marina, and eight unique superyacht NFTs, in Decentraland.

Built on 25 parcels of Metaverse Group’s virtual land, the marina’s launch happened in time for Metaverse Fashion Week 2022. The eight superyachts each have a private berth in the Meta Marina, offering owners and guests an immersive experience that features a breakwater, an animated ocean, and ambient noise (seagulls, boat horns, etc.). The fashion yacht is designed to house virtual meeting rooms, catwalks, and even a space to display and sell digital wearables.

In a collaboration with Meta Yachts, Metaverse Group has constructed a luxury virtual marina and created eight exclusive superyacht NFTs in Decentraland. The marina, located on 25 parcels of Metaverse Group's virtual land, was launched during Metaverse Fashion Week 2022. Each of the eight superyachts has a private berth in the Meta Marina, providing owners and guests with an immersive experience that includes a breakwater, animated ocean, and ambient sounds. The fashion yacht is specifically designed to accommodate virtual meeting rooms, catwalks, and a space for showcasing and selling digital wearables.

Music Hub

Metaverse Group launched its new Music Hub District by hosting its first music festival in conjunction with Decentraland’s Metaverse Music Festival. The Music Hub District streamed performances from 17 different artists across 3 different stages. The event attracted over 5000 visitors over the course of the festival. The Music Hub District is home to multiple event spaces that are now available for a variety of entertainment uses including: a main event stage designed for musical performances, a podcast studio, Beatblox Nightclub and a VIP lounge which also features a stage.
